EPA (Queensland’s environmental protection authority) tests reveal a terrifying levels of chemicals including agent orange just months after they were told there was no health risk……Locals were first told the levels were small or non existent…..Other chemicals thought to cause neurological damage in children 400,000 times the acceptable level……

New plans for East Wanneroo
Endanger Gnangara water mound

In November 2009 the W.A. Department of Planning released the Industrial Land Strategy for Perth and Peel. The wider community seems to have received very little, to no notification of these plans even though the changes will have a huge impact on the East Wanneroo, Wanneroo and Joondalup communities.

“The investigation programme has shown soil and groundwater contamination is present beneath the Waste Control Site. However, groundwater contamination is likely to also be migrating off-site across three of the four site boundaries in two different aquifer systems. In addition, it is possible that groundwater contamination extends below the depth of investigation conducted to date in the regional water table aquifer.”
